5 Buck Pizza

Today I went on a fabulous adventure with Taya and her kindergarten class to 5 Buck Pizza. If you have never ordered a pizza from there, you must! Its yummy. The kids where so cute and very polite. I love to see that awe in there eyes when they are learning something new. They got to make there very own pizza and eat it while they where there. I was in charge of the drink machine, most of the kids wanted lemonade, root beer, or sprite. I had to laugh out loud when this cutie pie little girl asked for Diet Coke!! LoL, I wonder if her mom drinks it??? Funny story about Taya,,, I haven't  had the chance to go with her class all year, so when I told her I could go she was super excited! Last night we where talking about it and she said " Mommy you can't wear your hair in a bun tomorrow, you have to look cute! LOL I was dying. She is so hilarious!

Why- you- no- go- to- China- A- Go Go??

We have discovered a little hole in the wall chinese restaurant in Vegas called China A Go Go!! Oh my goodness it is divine, our new favorite!

Can we take him home? Please!!

Taya fell in love with this dog the other day at petco and now she can't quit talking about him. She said he would be better than having a horse. haha

Put Me In Coach

My awesome sister in law Paula sent me this picture the other night of Kenyon at his softball game with the caption "Put me in coach"  LOL.. I love it!

Slowly Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things

Last Weekend Kenyon and I did our first Bike race in over a year. It was seriously so much fun! I drove to Vegas and met Kenyon there. The race was called Tour De Cure. It was a fundraiser ride for diabetes. What a great cause right! We also rode with our friend Del and his son Dillan, they actually invited us.. I'm so glad we are getting back into it. We kind of fell off the biking train after Kenyon's accident and where both a little gun shy to get back on and ride. People are crazy drivers out there ya know! Anyways we loved every bit of the ride. The weather was amazing and the after party was fun, Elvis even made an appearance:)

Not Quite Sure What To Think About This Sport???

So, We decided to try something new this year, Soccer! Hmmm, where do I begin? I have never played the sport and know nothing about the rules, but  Mataya was stoked to play so we decided what the heck, if anything she will get her exercise.... The first few games where pretty painful to sit through mainly because this is the most frustrating sport in the world and the spring weather here is nasty! But the season is almost over now and it has gotten a little more enjoyable. Taya is hilarious to watch, between numerous cartwheels and zoning out on the field, I'm not sure soccer will be her thing but who knows. I will say that she is freaking fast when she wants to be! I'm thinking track and field?? And look at her in that uniform! So Dang Cute!!

WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?

WHERE DOES THE TIME GO??
HOLY COW! I seriously can't believe how long its been since I last blogged. So much has changed. In December of 2011 we left our beloved town of Hurricane and moved back to our hometown Cedar City. Saying good bye to our friends, neighbors and the life we had established was the worst. It was a very sad and depressing time for me but looking back now I realize it was the best decision for our family and a very humbling one at that! Being back in Cedar was weird, it was great being back with our families but  A lot had changed while we where gone. It really didn't feel like home? So we settled into a cozy old home at 65 N Highland Drive (east side pride!) haha. When I say old I mean creaky old wood floors and a funny old smell but very cute and very charming and again very humbling! But we really did like the place and it was all we needed, and the land lord was kind enough to let us have a dog which was nice cause most don't! Any hoo.... So we carried on with life. I guess I forgot to mention the reason we made to move was because Kenyon had switched jobs and was now trucking for a company called USF Reddaway. We had a great Christmas and New Year. The winter seemed to drag on. When spring finally came Kenyon and I where so excited to start biking again we got into a really fun routine. We would bike every Monday while Taya was in Preschool  and then have a fun lunch date somewhere. Finally Summer came and I remembered how AWESOME Cedar City Summers are. The weather is seriously the best! Things where going good, I wasn't super crazy about Kenyon's new work schedule it was very, um....lame! It was not what he was told it would be, so everyday was different. I tried not to complain (to much) because he seemed happy and content. Then on June 19th our life's got a little crazy, this is how it went.
I woke up that morning knowing that I had to go visiting teaching at 11:00. My partner is a saint and I really don't think I would go if it wasn't for her! Kenyon came in the bathroom and told me that him and his brother Shon where going biking. I was so miffed!! I really wanted to cancel and join them but I knew I better not. As i walked out the door to leave, the two bikers where in the driveway laughing and joking and I was grumbling under my breath because dang it,, I really wanted to go! I ended up having a really really great visit with one of our ladies and was really glad I went. Ironically we talked about how everything happens for a reason even when you don't like it. When I got home I had literally just stepped in the house when my mom called and she sounded really weird. In this really calm voice she said "Kenyon has been hit by a truck and you need to go the the hospital".  YIKES! I don't really remember what I said back to her but i'm sure it was a bunch of jibberish! When I got the the hospital my Awesome Dad was there. Him and my mom had actually drove by the accident right after it happened and recognized that it was Kenyon. Weird right? But the craziest thing was that Kenyon's parents where there when it happened! They witnessed it. So back at the hospital, I finally got to see Kenyon. He was in pretty bad shape! A lot of pain and scrapes and bruised and a nasty break to his left clavicle bone. He ended up having surgery and was totally bummed because he would be laid up for the rest of the summer and fall. Now I know why I was not supposed to go riding with them. While he was home recovering he watched a lot of daytime t.v. (Dr.Phil) which is not like him, but he was forced to sit and stay! He had been off work for about two months and one day he told me he realized there was more to life and he realized how much he was missing out on a home life with his family and it was time to quit trucking! OMG, I seriously never thought I would hear those words. So after A LOT of praying, talking and thinking about it we decided that whatever is meant to be will happen.
Fall rolled around and again the weather is so great! Taya started Kindergarten at the east elementary. Her teacher is Merilee Jones and she is the very best! She also started Gymnastics at SUU. She is in love! Halloween was a flop!! Not nearly as fun as the ones we have had in Hurricane, Kenyon and I didn't even dress up:( I think we maybe had 25 kids come  to the door. I really was disapointed. Thanksgiving came fast and so did Christmas they where both really nice! New Years Eve was really fun. Kenyon and I took a little (long) rode trip to Carson City, NV and Lake Tahoe. It was so beautiful there, not at all what i expected! Kenyon Decided to make a career change and work for his Brother in law Rex (Harmony Fire Protection) In Las Vegas. Hence the trip to Carson City, he needed to get state certified and take a test there. January rolled by pretty quick, good thing cause it was freakin cold! Feburary was fun I love Valentines! Kenyon also moved to Vegas and is living with his sister Paula and bro in law Rex. They are so good to him:) Taya and I will move down as soon as school is over with. We are so so so very excited to start a new adventure! April is here and Today Taya started her first soccer season, it is going to be so hilarious! WOW That was A lot of catching up, i'm so glad I wrote it down and hope that whoever reads this enjoys!!
