Catching Up! Spring til Now!

OK, I am a terrible blogger! I will try and catch up on some of the things we have been up to this summer..

April- Taya had a really fun Easter, she LOVES to decorate the eggs. I think she likes that more than the actual egg hunt!

Kenyon and I went to Las Vegas and rode in a race called Tour De Summerlin. It was a 75 mile course and we loved every minute of it! minus the wind...

May- May rolled around and we celebrated my 30Th birthday. It was AWESOME!! My best friend Kim planned a surprise party for me and invited some close friends and family. She had it at my favorite restaurant Benja Tai. It was so much fun and I was definitely surprised! We also got back into Geo Cashing again which has been really fun, Taya has loved it!

June- June was pretty mild, we went to quail and sand hollow a lot with our friends K and T. Taya got up on the wake board with Kenyon for the first time, she was hilarious. Mataya also did her first year of swimming lessons at the city pool.

July-- We had a really fun and busy month in July. We celebrated the 4Th at Lake Powell with our friends Chase and Teressa Williams, Kim and Trevor Johnson, and Jeff and Amy Williams and of course all of our kids. We celebrated the 24th at our cabin with my family. It was so relaxing and for once my entire family was all there.

August- August has been really fun and really HOT! Taya started preschool for the 2ND year in a row. She is still at Little Sprouts Preschool and she really loves her teacher Mrs. Lori.

Kenyon, I and his brother Shon went to Panguitch UT for a bike race called Desperado Dual. It was so so so much fun! It was 106 miles. We had so much fun and made some really good memories. The scenery was beautiful. We will definitely make that one a tradition every year.

Last of all, we have had a little visitor staying with us for a while. My nephew Meykai has been with us and we have had so much fun with him. He is a little sweetie and Taya is in love with him.

Wishing for Summer

We went to Quail Lake the other day and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect but the water is still really really cold. Kenyon was itchin to wakeboard, so he put on a wet suit and jumped in. I was perfectly content sitting in the boat and catching some rays (freakles). It really made us excited for the summer to come faster so we can spend more time on the lake. Thanks Jeff and Amy!

Tour De St. George

On April 9th Kenyon and I rode in our first official bike race Tour De St. George. It was A 75 mile course with ALOT of hills and Climbs. The Weather was as bad as it could get for a bike race, rain, snow, sleet, Hail, and wind.. The last 10 miles of the ride it stopped and the sun came out. The scenery was amazing! We live in such a beautiful area. We met some guys that came all the way from Texas just because they love Utah! It was such a neat thing to accomplish. Hopefully there will be more races in our near future because we are hooked! Thanks to our cheering team/paparazzi, John, Claudine, and Taya Spevak!! Thanks for the great pictures..

On April 2nd My mom turned 50.. So off we went to celebrate in Salt Lake with my brother and his little family. I think she planned it that way so she could dodge embarrassing moments by friends and family in Cedar. But we had a good time in S.L. and laughed alot..

Last year my good friend Kim and I got together around Christmas and had a cookie night. We made about 6 different kinds of cookies, It was so much fun that we decided to make it our Tradition every Christmas. So last week we got together and baked our little buns off.. We had a blast. Even the Men helped out and had fun. Then we topped off the night by eating the cookies and playing our favorite card game Golf. Thanks guys we love ya..

So, the other day I thought it would be fun to watch home video's from the past few Christmas's. We started with Mataya's first Christmas. Before we actually got to the Christmas part on the tape, there was some video of my sister Annie's High School Basketball games. So of course we watched them and I realized how much I missed going to them. So I say to Mataya, " Taya I can't wait until you play basketball so I can come and watch your games."

Mataya leans over to Kenyon and whispers, " I don't want to play basketball, I want to be a cheerleader."

Wait, What? I'm still in shock.. lol Annie we have some work to do!

Today our sweet little baby turned 4... I really can not believe how fast time flies. Mataya is a daddy's girl and her mommy's world. We really don't know what we ever did with out her. She is such a good little girl and we are so lucky to have her.. Happy Birthday To our cute little Tay Bug, we love you so much, you are such a special blessing. Love Mommy and Daddy.

Fun Cook Out

On Sunday the 12th, We took off after church and went to New Harmony for the afternoon. Kenyon's Uncle Brent has apples on, so we went up and met him to pick some.. Then after that we went up on little mountain for a weenie roast. We had so much fun! Taya loved playing with Bandit (Brent's dog) and playing with the rocks and dirt. She even helped pick a few apples. We love going there and wish we could go more. thanks Brent for all the delishous apples! Oh and one more thing. Don't buy strawberry flavored marshmallows from the dollar tree. We took some to roast and they were Horrible!! We all gagged and spit them back into the fire.. yuck

Yep its time again. Tay started her second season of ballet today and she was THRILLED! I am slowly learning about this sport and it is not to bad! I almost wish I would have taken ballet when I was a spring chick.. lol. Funny story, On the first day of Ballet the parents are invited to stay and watch but after that no parentals allowed. So I am sitting there watching them do there cute little warm ups. They are all in a circle and the teacher is telling them what to do. She has them sitting and they are supposed to bend over and smell there feet.. And the conversation goes like this-

Teacher: ok everyone bend over and smell you feet, mine smell like roses

girl #1: mine smell like lotion

girl#2: mine smell like candy

Mataya: "mine smell like garbage!"

Not only did she blurt that out, she yelled it! It was so funny but also a little embarrasing.. Good thing everyone knows Taya and her silly little personality.. We really are excited for this next season of ballet. It's going to be fun..

Too Much Fun!

On August 11th we took a little trip to Lake Powell with our good friends Trevor and Kim and stayed until sunday the 15th . It was just the four of us and we had the best time ever! We did alot of wakeboarding, tubing, kneeboarding and skiing (Kim).. We also laughed a ton and made memories that none of us will ever forget! We are hoping to make it A yearly traditon. Thanks guys for such a great time.

First Day Of Preschool..

Yes It's true! Our baby started Preschool this week. I still can't believe it. I have to pat myself on the back for not crying and having a meltdown when I dropped her off on her first day. I did better than I thought. Of course Mataya did wonderful. She was so excited to go and when we got there her little face lit up when she saw all the kids and her new teacher.. She will do so good in school. We are so proud of you Taya girl...

This year we went to the cabin for the 24th of July. We had alot of fun and worked our guts out cleaning up trees that had been knocked over. It is so much fun to go up there. As usual the weekend went by to fast and we did'nt want to come home. Mataya had so much fun playing with her cousins that see hardly gets to see. She was sad to leave them.

The 3rd and 5th of July..

This year we had a really fun 4th of July holiday. Taya and I started things off Saturday the 3rd, by heading to New Harmony to meet Kenyon's parents and join in the festivites.

The 3 and 4 year old race was hillarious. None of the kids realized that you run through the tape at the finish line, they all ran under it! You know your in a small town when there is only 5 kids in the race. That is why we like it there so much. Mataya has it in her head that if we lived there she could have a horse. I think Kenyon told her that?

This water slide was a hit! It was warm enough I was tempted to go down it.

Uncle Brent and the Parade Princess. Taya rode in the parade and loved every minute of it. Anything that has to do with horses, and she is in Heaven..

Monday- First thing in the morning we went to the Hurricane parade and sat with our good friends the Dorius's. I got to hold there brand new baby for the whole parade which totally made my day. Then we headed to Cedar City to hang out with my family. We had a yummy lunch that consisted of Fish Tacos, corn salad, watermelon and my new Favorite treat DOUGHNUT SHAKES!! Not to sound like a fatty, but I think that my favorite part about having holidays is the food. lol. Tay decided she was going to run through the sprinklers and cool off. She convinced Grandpa K.G. That he should too. Why is it when your growing up your parents have no problem telling you NO to things, but when it comes to Grandkids, the word No doesn't exsist! lol.. Check out that farmers Tan. haha

Later that night we drove back to H town and went and watched the city fireworks. They always do such a great job in this little town. Kenyon worked most of the weekend and Monday so this was fun watching the fireworks with him.

So far this summer has been alot of fun for our family.. Check out the pictures to see what we have been up to...

May- My awesome Mom, who worked so hard, graduated from SUU with her Bachelors Degree.. Go Mom!!

May- This little cutie was invited to be in a performance Called Brodway Magic. It is a big show put on for the Seniors of Hurricane High School to raise money for their Grad Night.. She was a little African girl.. And Yes I made the costume lol.. I don't sew, so it was held together with about 200 saftey pins, and guess what? It worked...hahaha

May- Mataya also performed in her 2nd Ballet recital. She was so funny. This little spitfire LOVES to be on stage.

June- Truckin Mama!! Taya took her first little adventure with daddy in the big truck. She loved every minute of it and loved to honk the air horn..

We took a week in June and headed to Las Vegas for some serious R and R. Kenyon's sisters Paula and Kim and our neice Jessika met us at our hotel and we swam, swam, swam... It was so much fun!

June- Our very best friends Kim and Trevor have been so great to share there awesome boat with us. We have had a few really fun trips to the lake this summer. It is so neat to live just 10 minutes away from 2 beautiful lakes.. Mataya absolutely loves going on the boat and also the tube. She is turning into quite the little Fish/dare devil.. We will be taking a trip in August to Lake Powell with them (adults only) lol. So stay tuned for those pics...

Mataya and Kenyon both experienced there first trip to the nail salon.. Taya loved getting her nails painted (Shrek color) and Kenyon was in total heaven with his fist Pedicure.. Check out Kenyon in the back ground, he looks a little drugged... lol.

She is the perfect example of the classic Pack Rat! She gets this from Kenyon... We had fun making and creating it, Taya was such a good assistant with the glue. lol... For those of you who know my cute little dog Chloee, you will understand this blog. For those of you who don't know her, here is her story.. She was given to us by a friend/breeder who we had got our dog zeezee from.. Chloee was the runt and to say the least I think she was dropped on her head a few times because she is really really slow.... She is a really sweet dog and is very mellow and does'nt get excited about much. But every night we go through this ritual, first I put Taya in the bath. Then I usually let her play in there for a little while, I am totally paranoid about leaving her in the tub alone so I usually sit on the toilet and read... Fun right? So back to the funny part, Every night when I sit there, Chloee will sit at the opening of the door in the bathroom but will not come in.. She just sits there and growls until I say hi to her, and then the Spinning begins!! Its to funny, she will spin so fast that she gets herself dizzy and can't stand up... Im so happy I finally got it on video.. Hope you all enjoy..

Mataya had her very first "offical" Dentist Appointment last week! She did Fabulous!!! I had prepared for the worst because the first time we took her she had a meltdown And it was very dramatic, but she was also 1 year old and that makes a huge difference.. She liked the dentist so much that she came home and pretended to be a dentist to her doll Maggie.. She told me she was a "Dentist Girl" Funny, Funny!!

Valentines

Because Valentines Day was on a Sunday this year, we celebrated it on Saturday. It was such a fun day! The first thing we did was let Mataya deliver all of her valentines to her friends. She thought that was pretty cool! Then we went over to the big huge city of Laverkin and rode up into the hills to go shooting. Going shooting is usually not my thing, but the weather was beautiful and I just wanted to be outside with my family so it was actually really fun. While we where in Laverkin Kenyon drove us to the Laverkin over look, I had never been there and it was pretty cool.. Once we got home we let Taya have a Valentines treasure hunt, where she followed the candy heart trails to find her treasures..She loved that!! To top our fun day off we all went to dinner at the Brick Oven in St. George. It was such a fun day. Thanks Kenyon and Tay for being my little Valentines!!

When I was growing up we had a dog named Maynerd. Maynerd was always a little socially awkward, I mean what dog wouldn't be with that name right? Anyways, when he got into his old age he would wedge his little body underneath the couch and not come out. This usually happened when he would hear us getting ready to leave the house and he didn't want to have to go outside.. It was totally annoying because you would have to lift the couch to get him out. Well eventually he died and that was forgotten about until the other day. ZeeZee (my dog) who will soon be turning 8 years old (im not sure what that is in dog years) figured out the same trick. What is it with family pets? You love them so much but at the same time they drive you insane!!!

I will admit, I have been a terrible blogger lately. Mostly because I forget to, and when I do remember I usually don't have anything really fun to blog about.. But that will all be changing soon. I realized you don't always need fun topics or pictures to blog about.. I love to read my sisters blog. She is the best example of blogging about everything and anything.. Her blog can be a bit random but that is why it is so much fun to read. I am also going to make it a goal to post at least one random picture a week.. I have so many pictures that need to be shared with the blogging world. Yesterday I took Taya's braids out and decided to try those crazy sponge curlers that my mom used to put in my hair back in the 80"s. Oh how I hated them! They actually work really well with Tay's hair. Im so glad to be back on the blogging circut. Stay tuned for more fun!

3 Years Old..

Mataya celebrated her 3rd birthday on September 15th. Kenyon had the day off and we had such a fun time with her. Later that night we had some family and friends come over for a little party. She was such a cute party girl and was very dainty and careful with each present she opened. It took quite a while to get that over with.. I can't believe that she is 3. It is so crazy how fast time goes by, especially when your having fun. We wanted to say thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us and also a special thank you to a Great birth mom who sent a very special package. Happy Birthday Taya Girl! We love you...

A New Hairdo and A Play Date To Go With It.

Yes, this is my 3 year old daughter and not some random 7 year old I took pictures of.. I could not resist any longer putting these extensions in her hair. When she was 10 months old I met this lady at the beauty supply with a little girl who had her hair done like this and ever since then I have been dying to put them in Taya's hair... I thought it would be appropriate to wait at least a few years! You have to admit she looks darling with them! While I was putting them in she was watching t.v. and kept touching them telling me to take them out! Once we where finished I took her into the salon and let her look in the mirror. She was so surprised I don't think she recognized herself. 2 days later she can't stop looking at herself in the mirror. She told me she looks like her "brown" barbie and that she loves her long hair! What A funny girl..
Every Monday Mataya gets to go to A play date with 4 other kids her age. Today it was at our house. They made pumpkin puppets and ate Popsicle's. This has been so good for her to be around these kids, it is definitely good for her to learn to SHARE!!

This cute little girl went to her first ballet class on Wednesday the 26Th. She had so much fun and I must say she was the most social, friendliest, and cutest little ballerina there. Not to brag or anything. This is a whole new learning experience for both of us since I was never A dancing girl. I think she is going to be a natural!

Road Trip For The Rockies!

Last week Kenyon and I took A very spontaneous road trip to Denver. We both got bit by the baseball bug and had to go over and watch our team (The Rockies) play a few games. It was so so so much fun. Denver is beautiful and all the people we dealt with where so nice. The first day we where there we took a tour of Coors Field and then later that night went to the first game. The next day we went and explored down town Denver and then caught another game that night. Both nights they won! I am so glad that Kenyon and I both enjoy baseball and can share fun times like this together.

Cabin Time!

Saturday morning we decided to ride up to our cabin. As we where getting in the truck to go I told Kenyon I needed to run inside and get Taya some extra panties and pants just in case she had an accident. His reply was " She will be fine. She is so good at going to the potty, she will tell us if she needs to go! Hurry lets go!" If any of you know Kenyon, you know that he is always in a big dang hurry to go anywhere! So I thought to myself ok, she'll be fine. Well we got to the cabin and started working to get the place ready for the summer. (take down window boards, put up deck railings, and my most favorite, sweep and vacuum the dead flies that are everywhere.) We had been up there no longer that 30min and Mataya managed to take off her boots and socks and then pee her pants out on the deck. Wow! I was so mad at myself for not listening to my Motherly instincts! Kenyon felt bad and said he shoud have listened to me.... Now you will know why Mataya is pant less in some of the pictures on this blog. She was so funny, she insisted on still wearing her boots! After the work was done we barbecued some burgers and had A little feast. Then Mataya got a surprise visit from her cousins that she never gets to see because they live in Kansas. She had a blast playing with them, chasing, and having snacks that Tick Tock Grandma brought.. It ended up being A really great day.

A Night At The Museum

You would never guess that there is a exotic wildlife museum hidden in the little town of New Harmony, Ut, but there is. We were down there for a family reunion over the weekend and after the reunion we vistited this amazing place. The owner is A Hunter of all Hunter's. This guy travels to Africa and other places to add animals to his collection. I have never seen anything like it. Mataya was even fasinated with it. The wall have all been painted to look like the outdoors. It was so cool. Thank you Mr. F for sharing it with us!!!

4 Months Later!

It has been 4 months since I last blogged! There are so many things I want to write about, but I have know idea where to start. Here is a small break down of what has been going on with us!

February: Kenyon and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary a little early and took a trip to Cancun. It was so much fun. Probably the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on! We are already planning our next trip for next year and we can't wait!!!!

March: March is usually our most boring month out of the year. We mostly just hung out at home and enjoyed the spring weather. Mataya got to go horsebackriding with Kenyon and Uncle Brent. She loves horses and still talks about it all the time. Mataya also got to go to the Movies for the first time. We took her to see Monsters Vs. Aliens and she loved it. When the movie was over she told me I needed to go start it over so she could watch it again. She is so funny!

April: This was a crazy month! Mostly because we have so many Birthdays between the both of our family's. I think we counted 10 or 11? Kenyon's birthday was on the 14th and he turned 31. Easter this year was really fun! Taya loved her easter egg hunt and all the fun things the easter bunny brought her. She was a little nervous when we would talk about the easter bunny, We seen him at the mall and she freaked out!! When people would ask her if the easter bunny was going to come to her house she would say "NO"!

May: May is also a Big birthday month in our family. I turned 28 this month. It was such a fun birthday. Kenyon took me to my now favorite restaurant Benja Tai and we totally pigged out. Our Families came down later and we played 2 base wiffle ball. It was so much fun. It really made me apprieciate the fact that we live close to our families! Mataya had her pictures taken, which turned out so great. She was such a little ham for the camera. I will post some pic's in a seperate blog. So much more has happened I just don't have the time to write it all down. I will try to keep up and be a more dedicated blogger! haha

Taya's 1st Hair Cut!!

Mataya is always coming into my salon to either ham it up with my clients, touch or get into things she's not supposed to, or to watch me get ready for the day. When I put her in the "big chair" and told her I was going to cut her hair she was so excited. Technically I didn't really cut her hair off, I just thinned the heck out of it. It was much needed, since it has never been done before. This little girl was born with a headful of hair and I swear it gets thicker and thicker by the day.. She was so good the entire time. We had quite the salon chat. Here are some funny things she said.
" Oh I look pretty huh mommy."
" My daddy is Kenyon"
" I need a sucker"
" Oh pretty Taya"
" Mommy I have a snotty nose"
" Mommy you cut barbies hair too"
" I need a sucker"
" Mommy I want to do it"
" I want to clip clip my hair"
When we where done I showed her the hair on the floor and she said " ewe that's scary" I think she thought it was an animal or something. What a cutie! I always said I wanted a little girl so I could do her hair all cute and fun. Now I have been blessed with a sweetie that has the hair of 5 little girls put together. I'm not exaggerating.

Fun Day In The Snow

Saturday afternoon we snowmobiled up to our cabin with our friends the Clark's. I have not snowmobiled for quite some time and this definitely proved that I am no Spring Chick anymore. I am SO sore! Time to get in SHAPE! But it was all worth it. Anyways, I was actually surprised to see how much snow there was. We had such a great time and laughed alot. It is so nice to have good friends who we can totally be ourselves around. Thanks B and K for the fun day..

This was our New Years Eve dinner at Samuri 21. We had so much fun with our good friends. Because Kim is such a good sport I had to put these pictures on here. Three of the six of us that where there ordered water with lemon. When they brought our drinks, they brought out three individual bowls of lemons. Kim gets fired up easy, so when she wasn't looking Kenyon dumped all of them in her water. She took it like a champ and just laughed. She didn't even remove them.. We love you Kim, Happy New Years.

For Christmas last year (08) Annie surprised us all with some sweet slippers she knitted herself. She has become quite the crafty lady. This is something she learned while she was away at Snow Collage. She made some for Taya in September for her Birthday, and secretly I was a little jealous because I wanted some too. So I was totally excited when I opened mine. She made us all open them at once, so we would all be suprised.. Thanks for the booties sis. Martha Stewart would be proud!!

Christmas in 08 was really good. Things are finally starting to slow down from the holidays so now I can write about it. The Morning of Christmas Eve I took a lovely trip to the Dentist to have some fabulous fillings done. Luckily the numbness wore off in time for my grandmothers Delicious, Traditional Christmas Eve German Roladin Dinner. YUM!! This is something we just don't miss out on. The whole family waits for it all year. I ordered roladin when I was in Germany, and It didn't even compare to Grandma's. So thanks Grandma Omi for the delicious meal year after year!! We came home on Christmas eve and spent Christmas morning at our house. Mataya was so cute about the presents. She was a little shocked that they where all for her. I think she might have been a little overwhelmed at first. Later that day we traveled back to Cedar to see our family's again. We had so much fun with both of them. Mataya figured out that she can boss my Brother around which was hilarious. Thanks to both of our families for such a wonderful Christmas. We love you all.

It's that time of year! Mataya got her braids again. Kenyon gave me some cash the other day and told me that he wanted Mataya to have braids for Christmas. Mostly because she looks adorable with them and also because it gives me a little break from doing her hair. Tay was so good the whole time she was getting them in. The minute we left, this big sassy attitude came out of this small 2 year old body. It was like she knew how cute she looked and she was eating it up.. These pictures are hard to see the braids so I added some from the summer time, so you can get a better look.... Merry Christmas Taya we love you..and your sassy attitude :)

We have been the biggest slackers about having our family pictures taken. For some reason I kept putting it off. I am so excited we finally got them done. They turned out so good, considering that it was super cold! My good friend Shawna was the photographer. She recently started a side buisness taking pictures. Long weekend by Kenyon

It may not seem that long for some of you but for me it was a nice break, any time I can get 72 hours out of the cab of that Kenworth I am jumping all over that. Kara and I both had dentist appointments Friday morning in Cedar. then we went to lunch with my family. After lunch My brother Shon and I went out and shot up about 500 rounds with our pistols and did some much needed target practice. I had a real good time and always enjoy spending time with him, I wish we lived in the same town so that we could get together more often.

Saturday morning my neighbor Billy and I headed south of town to see if we could call in a coyote to shoot. We left town about 6:30 and was out in the spot we wanted to be before it was day light. We only had time for two quick stands the first was prefect, The sun was not up yet and the moon was full from the night before and still hung quite high in the west. We had a perfect view of a large valley with a big wash running through it with very little cover and lots of room for a dog to come in.We called in this location for almost an hour and no sign of anything. We jumped in the truck and headed about a mile or two down the road to the south, we were running out of time because Billy had to be back to town by 9:30 so we pulled off the road and just hiked a few feet from the road and gave it one more try. We split up about 15 feet and just after starting to call something was getting to me and I started to sneeze and sneeze and then my eyes started to water. I was thinking we are never going to see anything now with all this noise and moving around I was doing when Billy got my attention and he had his rifle up and looked like he was going to shoot but never did. We had a dog coming straight for the call and just as billy was getting ready for a shot it spotted our truck and took a hard turn and was gone. We had a lot of fun and I am looking forward to my Christmas break so I can go out again and try some more calling.

Saturday night Kara and I went to a Christmas party hosted by our friends the Clark's. All of our friends were there. We had a delicious dinner and a hilarious white elephant gift exchange.

The Princess and Her Princess Tree!

Ok, I know that alot of you might think this is cheesy, but I could'nt help myself. Mataya and I have been eyeing up this tree for a few weeks at the lovely Wal Mart Super Center. I finally gave in and bought it the other day. Kenyon was not impressed!! Anyways, when I pulled it out of the box Mataya did this funny little Gasp and said " Oh pretty Princess Tree" It was priceless.. We set it up and she could not keep her hands off of it. She was trying to hug it and attempted to kiss it, as you can see in the bottom picture.. What a little cheezer.

Thanksgiving this year was great. We had dinner at My Grandparents new home, which was a little weird just because all my life they have lived in the same place. But there new home is beautiful and is a good place for family to gather. Friday was fun because My Mom, Annie, Taya and I all went Black Friday Shopping in St. George. Annie was quite the shopper! She even had a list of things to get. I was a little shocked! Jk Annie. Then on Saturday Kenyon, Tay and I all went to Salt Lake to meet his family at the Jazz Game. Even though we are really not huge Jazz Fans, It was actually really fun. Kenyon's Brother Brandon Hooked us up with a really nice Suite and tons of yummy food!! I can't beleive how fast the holidays come and go. I really don't want Christmas to fly by either, but Im sure it will...

I look forward to Wednesdays and Thursdays. Those are the nights Kara is cutting hair late and Mataya and I try to go on some kind of date, just the two of us. This is so much fun for me because I don't get to spend very much one on one time with her. So today I got off early from work and we took a little drive up to New Harmony to see the horses and visit family. We stopped at the cemetery on the way into town and looked at my grandmothers grave then we took the horses a few buckets of grain and Mataya was having a blast feeding it to them. We also went down to my uncle Verniles house we had so much fun talking and catching up with him and Elmalyne. Then we went with Vernile looking for deer. We seen some very nice bucks but it was getting to dark to get a good picture. We stopped at grandpa Darces house on the way out of town Mataya was very good around him and Donna. She sat with both of them, probably because grandpa gave her a brownie. I sure enjoyed spending some time in New Harmony. I thought back on lots of childhood memories growing up there. Some times I wish I was still living there. I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with Mataya, this is one of those days that will be with me forever!!!

This post is for all of you fellow "Twilighters". If you have never read the twilight series you are missing out!! I have been so EXCITED for the Twilight movie to come to theaters on November 21st. I keep looking it up on the internet and watching trailors. I guess you could say I am a Die Hard Fan... Last night the phone rang and the caller i.d said private. When I answered it was this creepy voice telling me to check my front door. Luckily Kenyon was home so I wasn't that scared. I went to the door and found this apple on the floor mat.. pinned to it was a invitation to the "Forks High School Prom". I thought it was so clever I had to post a picture and tell you what it says..

Well I am proud to say that today Kenyon and I have been married for nine years. What a cool thing to be able to say. We were so young when we were married. I was barely 18 and he was 21 and we thought we knew it all! Little did we know we would have some major bumps in the road and Im sure there are more to come, but they have all been worth it.. It is so fun to remember the night of our reception and what we where doing at this time of night. I remember the NEVER ENDING LINE of people who came to support and congratulate, the loud music from the DJ, the yummy pumpkin rolls, the silver confetti stars that where everywhere, my beautiful bridesmaids, my 20 lb bouquet (which was beautiful), all of our wonderful family, and most of all my handsome new husband!! Things definately did not turn out the way I had imagined they would when we were first married,,, they turned out so much better. I can't wait for #10

Last night I laughed harder than I have laughed in a long time.. Something about Halloween brings out the giggles in me. We went to a costume party, and I have to say there where some pretty good costumes. I have always loved the holiday, but having a family of my own to dress up with is so much fun. There was lots of yummy food, games for the kids, and a costume contest for the adults.(we won the best couples costume, and Kenyon won the best guy/girl costume). So being in the festive mood I was in, I decided to enter the women's potato sack race. It was to funny!! Keep in mind that there was alot of people watching this. There where about 10 lady's in the race. I was tied for the lead with my friend Melissa and just when we where about to cross the finish line we both biffed it big time. Kenyon came running out on the field yelling WE HAVE A NUN DOWN, WE HAVE A NUN DOWN. This made me laugh even harder, I think I may have peed a little!! Little Miss Mataya was the prettiest Princess there. She could not figure out why everyone looked so different in all the costumes. She just sat and watched everyone in Awe. It was such a fun time. I can't wait for Halloween night...

I can honestly say that never in my wildest dreams would I have picked to live in Hurricane. But I absolutely love it!! And we are finally getting a WalMart Woo Hoo!!! The Horse Obsession

Okay so I know that this picture was taken a while ago, but ever since we went to the Dixie Round Up, Mataya has been obsessed with horses. She is constantly saying "giddy up". She has been playing with horses, acting like a horse, and getting lots of horesy rides from Daddy. This little obsession has been kind of cute until today when I caught her trying to ride zeezee ( the 5 pound pomeranian) like a horse. How do you explain to a 2 yr old that you can't ride a dog? I could have had some dang hillarious pictures but Kenyon has my camera on the hunt with him!! I Curse the Deer Hunt! Thanks to Uncle Brent (The Grand Marshal) for taking such a cute picture..

Fun Fall Weather..

The last couple of days the weather has been perfect. Our yard is looking so good. I am sad to see winter come and make it look yucky!! Miss Mataya has figured out how to open the back door and let herself outside. She thinks it's way funner out there than inside, but I guess all kids are like that. Today was a good day I did some hair and played with Tay. I am getting totally addicted to this blog stuff. Do you ever get tired of it?

From the day we brought Mataya home from the hospital our Dogs have never been very fond of her. Expecially zeezee! Chloe was very curious but always kept her distance. They where very jealous. The funny thing about it is Mataya is totally obsessed with them. One of her first words was "zeezee". After two years they are finally starting to warm up to her. I found her in her room the other day talking to Chloe like they were best friends. It was priceless, so I had to snap some pictures.

Saturday Night Smores

Saturday night we decided to have a fire out in our back yard. Of course you can't have a fire without smores!! So that's what we did. We roasted marshmallows and pigged out. Kenyon's sister Paula was staying with us so we laughed alot, like we usually do when we are with any of his family. It was so much fun. Little Miss Mataya was a crack up. She would'nt sit with any of us or on a chair. The only thing she wanted to sit on was my best plant. Because she is super spoiled we let her do it.
